Harnessing Solar Energy for Khmelnytskyi Infectious Diseases Hospital!

Over the past three months, the hospital’s new solar power plant has generated an impressive 3,145.5 kWh of energy. This is enough to power 11 ventilator-equipped ICU beds for 3.5 days—a critical contribution to saving lives!
Why this matters:
Khmelnytskyi faces frequent power outages due to relentless attacks on the region’s energy infrastructure. Ukraine’s energy system remains fragile, making alternative power sources for healthcare facilities a top priority.

This impactful initiative was made possible thanks to the generous support of Citi Ukraine, in collaboration with the Ministry of health of Ukraine, Khmelnytskyi Municipality, and our technical partners, NGO Ecoclub.

Together, we are building a resilient future for Ukraine, one project at a time.

Watch the video below to learn more about the solar power plant and its life-saving impact on the hospital.
