In July, Kropyvnytskyi City Emergency Hospital received a neonatal ambulance from Yellowblue Force Foundation. As a leading regional healthcare institution, this hospital provides medical care to critically ill pregnant women and their newborns. The urgent need for such an ambulance stems from the influx of women and children seeking refuge in Kropyvnytskyi city and Kirovohrad regions due to the military invasion. The hospital handles over 2,000 births annually, with approximately 200 infants requiring intensive care each year. Many of these babies are preemies needing immediate transfer to higher-level medical facilities for comprehensive, long-term treatment.

This project was made possible thanks to the generous financial support of Viterra Ukraine and Viterra B.V. (Netherlands). The Yellowblue Force Foundation and the Emergency Hospital of Kropyvnytskyi City Council extend heartfelt gratitude to Viterra B.V., David Mattiske, Nick Williams and Viterra Ukraine, Olexiy Derkach, Olha Onyshchuk, Roksoliana Robak for their unwavering support of this initiative.
Dr. Lyudmyla Romaniv, the hospital director, emphasized the significance of this neonatal ambulance: “This vehicle, equipped for transporting children requiring surgical or therapeutic treatment, enables us to swiftly transfer premature and newborn infants with pathologies to specialized hospitals in major cities. Our mobile medical support team ensures that babies needing detailed examinations, along with their mothers, receive prompt care at specialized hospitals. We have transported children to Okhmatdyt in Kyiv, Dnipro, and Poltava. Now, these processes will be facilitated by a modern ambulance equipped with all necessary equipment, provided through the support of Yellowblue Force and Viterra.”

The medical staff at the hospital is immensely grateful for this essential ambulance, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for the little ones. Together, we protect our children!
