On February 24, 2022, russia launched a large-scale unprovoked aggression and invasion of Ukraine, escalating the conflict active since 2014. It led to the largest humanitarian crisis in Europe since World War II.

Since February over 4,150 civilians have been killed and over 4,900 injured (as on May 31). Every region of Ukraine was under attack. As a result, 13% (23K km) of roads of national importance, 295 bridges, and more than 600 hospitals have been destroyed.
